They try to think of everything to make it easier for the patient. The doctor I like to see can always be seen when I need it. I honestly cannot fault the service but I must say something... The last two times I have visited, the doctor has suggested an over the counter remedy for my ailment. Being a pensioner, I would prefer, obviously, not to have to pay and utilise my free prescription entitlement. I don't know if they are trying to save money but that doesn't help me.

My most recent visit to Greensward Surgery was yesterday, with my daughter, but I have attended on a few occasions over the past couple of years, both for myself and my children, and have never had any complaints. I have always been able to book a same day appointment, and all staff, from the receptionists through to the doctors, have always been very approachable, helpful and professional.

Over the last few years the NHS and GP’s surgeries have received a lot of criticism but without our current health service, medical care would not be available in it's present free and very available and professional format. Visiting my GP is not something that I have usually looked forward to over the years but situations change and I feel that I should now take the opportunity of praising the staff at my local surgery, especially the receptionists, who really do impress as wanting to help you with your health problems. Therefore to the lovely ladies and the rest of the staff at the Greensward surgery in Hockley, well done and take a bow for the service you provide!
